Since the beginning of 2024, I have focused on creating different series of works on paper. One has been a series of collages, which incorporate material from magazines, adding layers of cut paper, paint, watercolor pens, and markers. Sometimes, I transform them into photo collages, created by printing the photos I take of these pieces, and then adding more layers of cut and painted shapes.
The other primary series that has emerged since the November 2024 election, and the beginning of the second, horrific Trump administration, is titled, “Is there light at the end of the tunnel?” This question remains, as people living in the Unites States, and most everywhere else on our war-torn and climate-threatened planet, experience horrors, injustice and great uncertainty every day.
