San Francisco vistas and house portraits

Since moving to San Francisco in 1981, one of my great pleasures has been to wander around this city, recording views of its streets, buildings and magnificent vistas in numerous sketchbooks and on watercolor paper. I transform many of these studies into acrylic paintings on canvas.  Hundreds more remain as pencil and ink drawings, and watercolor paintings.

  1. Bill: It’s been fun to be with you in class at Ruth’s Table as a fellow student. Now I see that you could be one of the instructors. Can’t pick a favorite theme as they all speak to me. I live near the ocean in Pacific Grove, hike the woods and mountains, am enchanted by portraits and love San Francisco–so you have covered all of my faves! I will return to your online gallery for inspiration and delight. Best, Penny Partch.
